In the beginning...

In my desperate attempt to avoid revision, i've created a blog.

Hopefully it will keep me entertained, if anyone else enjoys it too then its a bonus!

I'd like to think i'm quite different from most medical students, however as time goes on we may all see that i'm not as unique as i'd like to make out. You could take the title as a bit arrogant. Arrogance is definitely associated with medics.

Reasons why i'm not a typical medic:

1. My family aren't middle class
2. I've never been to grammar school/private school
3. I don't really like science that much
4. I love sociology/psychology
5. I didn't get AAAAAA (you get the idea) in my A levels

Reasons why i might be a typical medic

1. I'm female
2. I've wanted to be a doctor for a stupid amount of time
3. I manage to turn every conversation around until its about medicine
4. I read textbooks for fun

So i guess the main reason that i'm not a typical medic rests on socio-economic backgrounds. Not a sound basis for a blog title is it?

Back to revision. Brown-Sequard Syndrome anyone?
